sea water contains many salts dissolved in it . the density of sea water is about 1.03 g mL, whereas that of fresh water is 1.00 g mL . as a result ,the fish body experience greater ,upthrust in sea water than in river water. therefore ,it is easier for a fish to swim in a sea water with a smaller portion of his body submerged
