a) manner of election of vice president:-

He is elected by the members of electoral college which consists member of both the houses of parliament. ( both elected and nominated members)

His election is held in accordance with the system of proportional representation by means of single transferable vote and voting is done by secret ballot.

b) Any three qualifications for election are:-

1) He should be citizen of India.

2) He should have completed 35 years of age.

3) He should be qualified for elections as a member of the Rajya Sabha

c) two important powers :-

1) He acts as the ex officio chairman of Rajya Sabha.

2) He acts as President whenever there is vacancy occurs in the office of the President due to his resignation, removal, death, or otherwise.
