According to brownsted Lowry theory and acid is a substance that donates(or loses) protons but then why are metals considered as basic although they give up electrons which is similar to give up proton​

Suppose we take an acid HCl and Other metal Hydride NaH.

And Sodium is Electropostive element and Hydrogen is Electronegative. So, Here negative charge will appear on H.
