On the 30th of January 1933, Adolf Hitler, the leader of the NSDAP, was appointed Chancellor of the Reich by German President Paul von Hindenburg.

Few people could realize that day to what barbaric person will be their leader.

NSDAP had only three representatives out of nine ministers in the new government.

But as soon as they came to power Hitler started destroying democracy, republic and social order of Germany.

He started dismantling the democratic parliamentary system in Germany.

The Reichstag was dissolved by Hitler and new elections were called.

During the election campaign, on the 27th of February, there was a fire in the Reichstag building staged by the Nazis, cleverly used the situation for their own benefit.

The next day, the government issued an „urgent decree“  which – adopted limits upon freedom of speech, and other democratic rights.
