According to Hardy – Weinberg equilibrium, in the absence of natural selection & mutation, and if a population experiences no migration, is very large, and has random mating then
(a) Evolution of the population will continue, but much more slowly than normally.
(b) The makeup of the population’s gene pool will remain virtually the same indefinitely.
(c) Homozygosity will be slowly increase in the population
(d) Dominant alleles in the population’s gene pool will change slowly in a predictable manner
