Explanation:
Benzene is an aromatic compound and possesses aromaticity. 8, thus it does not obey Huckel's Rule. Cyclooctatetraene is a non -aromatic compound and does not possess aromaticity.

According to the Huckel rule of aromaticity the compound which does not have ( 4n+2)π electrons, is not an aromatic compound.
- Those compounds or molecules which have (4n+2)π electrons, are said to be aromatic in nature, as per the Huckel rule of aromaticity.
- And, those compounds which do not follow the Huckel rule or do not have (4n+2)π electrons, are said to be non-aromatic in nature.
- For example- Benzene is an aromatic compound as per the Huckel rule as it has n = 1 and follows (4n+2)π electrons = 6-π electrons.
- And, cyclopentadiene does not follow the Huckel rule as it has 4π electrons, therefore it does not fit in the (4n+2)π form., hence it is a non-aromatic compound.
