"The abbreviation of TFM is Total fatty matter exsisting in the soap.

In India, a single soap must contains about 70 - 75% of TFM.

The highly quality soap contains the TFM up to 92.8%.

The fatty acids present in the soaps are oleic acid, stearic acid, palmitic acid, etc.

As the TFM level increases, it is good for our skin. Commercial cheap soaps contain fillers which are hard to our skin which creates burning sensation to the skin.

There are two types of TFM present in the market. The fatty acids obtained from vegetable fats and the fatty acids obtained from animal fats.

So, the soaps are mentioned as vegetarian and non-vegetarian soaps."
