in a reaction,

the side where the number of moles are greater has more pressure.

if in any reaction,

the mole number is greater in the reactants that is pressure is greater, the equilibrium will shift from reactants to the products. that is to the rightward direction which also means forward reaction rate will increase decreasing the backward reaction rate

in any reaction,

if pressure is greater i.e. the mole number is greater, the equilibrium will shift from right to left (products to reactants). in this case backward reaction rate will increase decreasing the forward reaction rate.
