According to Mahabharata, Vishwakarma constructed the unparalleled palace of the Pandavas. He is considered to be the chief architect of the Devas in Heaven. The palace had a lot of illusions because of which the palace floors reflected light to make it appear as if there was water on them. Similarly, the pools in the palace looked like flat surfaces. As a result, the palace was also referred to as Maya Mahal or Palace of Illusions.
