According to Newton’s law of gravitation, every body in the universe attract every other body. But we don’t
see bodies on the surface of earth moving towards each other on account of this force of attraction. Why?

This is so because this force of attraction is not that strong and also there are many other forces in the nature that would try to cancel its effect like the gravitational force.

Hope this helps!!!!

Answer:

THERE ARE MAINLY TWO REASONS FOR THIS. 1)FRICTION AND 2)MAGNITUDE OF THAT ATTRACTION IS VERY SMALL

Explanation:

  • THE FRICTION BETWEEN THE EARTH AND IS GO HIGH THAN THE ATTRACTION THAT WE DON'T MOVE
  • ALSO FROM THE FORMULA F=GMm/r2
  • HERE THE VALUE OF G IS SO SMALL THE FORCE IS NEGLIGIBLE
