According to Newton's law of gravitation every object in space attracts other object. Taking this into consideration, why doesn't the stars, planets and other celestial bodies collide with each other?

this is gravity is present only in earth upto a specific sphere whereas stars planets are in such a place where there is no gravity. they move in a specific direction for this reason only.
