According to Newton's second law of motion, mass and acceleration are inversely related. A full shopping cart is able to be accelerated at 2 m/s2 when 25 N of force are applied. What would happen to the acceleration of the shopping cart if we applied the same amount of force, but decreased the mass of the contents in the shopping cart by 1/2 its original value?

A-The acceleration would also decrease by 1/2 its original value.
B-The acceleration would decrease at a random rate.
C-The acceleration would increase by double its original value.
D-Nothing, the cart would accelerate at the same rate regardless of mass.
