seriously , this is your complete question.

okay, let us think about given equation ,

here it is given that 0 = + 2(-g)s ,

or, 0 = - 2gs

or, = 2gs

or, u = \sqrt{2gs}

hence, according to your question, answer should be u = √{2gs}.

well, I think question is like that , “A body or object is thrown vertically upwards with speed u m/s, it becomes rest after traveling s m. then find initial velocity of body or object ?”

final velocity of body , v = 0

initial velocity of body = u

distance travelled by body = s

using Newton's 3rd equation of motion,

v² = u² + 2as

a = -g [ because body moves under gravity]

0 = u² + 2(-g)s

then, final you will get u = √2gs}.

I hope you get your answer

cheers !

santoshraut89: thanks alot but there is not any expecting ans
abhi178: better yiu should ask complete question. this is not a complete question. i just tried to complete your question. you just ask 0 = u² + 2(-g)s ?, then of course answer will be u = √(2gs)
