According to our constitution, the responsibility of the Indian citizens towards environmental protection is to save and improve the environment of our planet.

• In the current global environmental scenario, it becomes the responsibility of every citizen to work for the protection of the environment and its resources.
• Every citizen can do a bit from his/her side. For example, we may plant more and more trees to reduce air pollution. We can save electricity by switching off the lights and other equipment when they are not required.
• Abiding by the constitutional law to protect the environment has the potential to bring a huge change not only in the environment but also in the development of future generations.

Hence, to protect the environment with its other components like wildlife and forests is our prime responsibility according to our constitution.
