According to physics, a coolie has no work done. then why do we pay him?

here is ur answer...

according to physics... work is done when something is done against gravity... now a coolie puts the bag etc on their head to carry... in this case force is perpendicular ....so..according to physics...coolie shouldn't be paid... but we pay him because of our humanity... (according to me)...

(I have read it in class 9 ..a year ago... so I don't remember clearly....)...

Because scientific definition and concepts although holds in real world.....but have a different meaning that what it is meant by in common....

Yes although he does no work scientifically....but he does great work in the common perspective...

Consider your maid....she starts wiping the floor...mops three storeys and finally reaches to the same spot where she started...its true work done is zero scientifically.... but certainly not zero in common thinking
