Positive Reinforcement, according to Skinner, is reinforcing behaviours that are close to desired behaviour. This means to strengthen a positive behaviour with such stimulus that there are more chances of it occurring again. For example, if a child scores high in a subject and her parents give her a small reward, then it will act as an encouragement for the child to perform well in her studies again, thus increases the chances of the same.
