A tropical rainforest is different in many ways from a deciduous forest. Tropical rainforests are located near the equator, and their environment is hot and humid. Tropical rainforests have the greatest variety of plant and animal life of all forests, and have so much oxygen-generating plant life that they're called the ''lungs of the earth''. Rainfall is also very high.
A deciduous forest is located in the mid latitudes, which are cooler than the environment near the equator. These forests experience the change in seasons. where tropical forests do not experience this much at all. More sunlight can get to the ground in a deciduous forest than in a tropical rainforest because the plant and tree growth is not as dense, so there is plant life on the ground here as well. In a tropical rainforest, not that many plants are seen on the ground because there's hardly any light. Deciduous forests also have rain, but not as much as a tropical rainforest
