According to the five kingdom system of classification all uni cellular eukaryotic organisms are included under kingdom Protista.

The organisms in this kingdom cannot be included in any category of the organisms and are also known as first eukaryotic organisms.

They are mostly heterotrophic organisms.

They are aquatic organisms but some types may be autotrophic.
