According to the French Revolution on 5 May 1789 the people belonging to the 3rd class walked out of the hall and started their protest in the grounds of a indoor tennis court in Versailles. But when I researched about it I got know that tennis was discovered in 1873 . Then how their is a tennis court before the discovery of tennis​

see, in the history text book it is written as the "grounds" of an indoor tennis court and not in the indoor tennis court. the court wasn't made yet, it was the grounds of the court, where the third class people went, and the plans to make the tennis court was already there so thus it is referred to as the indoor tennis court
