According to the law of conservation of energy. Energy can neither be created non destroyed.If so how do a stone keeping at a height and compressed spring pottential energy?​

when we keep a stone at a certain height our chemical energy is converted into energy(work done) to lift that stone. but total energy remains conserved

in case of compressed spring ..

we compress spring by doing work done that work is stored as elastic potential energy ..when we release our hand the spring retain it's original shape
