John Donne was an English poet and cleric in Church of England. He was born in London in 22 January 1572. He died in 31 March 1631. He belongs to a recusant Roman family, when practiced of that religion was in England. He is third of six children and also his father named john Donne, was of Welsh descent and a warden of the Ironmongers Company in the city of London. John Donne was considered the pre eminent representative of the metaphysical poets. His Work were noted for his strong, sensual style, sonnets, love poems, religious poem, Latin translations, Elegies, epigrams, songs, satire and sermons.
