According to various research, if an employee is unhappy at work, it creates negative emotions and adversely affect employee productivity. Many companies in the western world are employing happiness coach who can teach employees how to handle negative emotions and focus at work. There are debates regarding this issue. Some organizations believe that it is not their responsibility to ensure employee happiness as it is a personal feeling. However, other organizations think that if employee happiness can be ensured, there is no harm rather it can benefit everyone in the workplace as nobody wants to work with a colleague who is always unhappy and complains all the time.
1)Is happiness directly related to job satisfaction? Why or why not?
2)b) Take interviews of family members/friends (atleast 2) to find out what make them happy at work place. Also find out which characteristics of the job make them satisfied.
