What is the value of freedom? A 12-year old girl who is married knows the value of freedom. A bird who is caged understands the value of freedom. A child who is forced to work knows the value of freedom. A nation which suffered 200 years under the rule of intruders comprehends the value of freedom. The poet reflected on social disparity, and the ideals of freedom. Freedom may be gained by an individual, but it never heals any wounds.
