During the revolt, Bahadur shah’s sons were killed by the British to leave behind no successor. The Mughal emperor was also robbed of all his property and money at the hands of the British who were firm that he would be the last Mughal emperor and none of his descendants after his death would be honored as the next ruler.  All his family had to deeply suffer and was thrown out of the fort. Therefore, the act of the British was cruel and morally incorrect.
