Hey Friend,

Here are some effects of the Revolt of 1857 -

1. End of Company's rule
2. Queen Victoria's Proclamation
3. End of the Mughals and Peshwas
4. Change in relation with Princely States
5. Policy of Divide and Rule
6. Racial Antagonism
7. Foreign Policy
8. Religious Changes
9. Changes in the Army
10. Increased Racial Bitterness
11. Economic Exploitation
12. Rise of Nationalism.

The most important effect, I think, is Rise of Nationalism.

The uprising of 1857 was the first struggle of the Indian people for freedom. It paved way for rise of national movement. The sacrifices made by Rani Laxmi Bai, Nana Saheb, Mangal Pandey etc. served as an inspiration for future freedom fighters. There was a birth of Political awareness which gave birth to various political associations.

Hope it helps!
