Since the northern plain of India were formed by the alluvial deposits brought down by the three rivers namely Ganga, Indus, and Brahmaputra, and their rivulets hence they are lacking the large quantities of minerals but they has created one of the most fertile plains in the world.
Because of the rivers and their beds, northern plain commonly lacks of minerals.
