Account for the following:
i. The boiling points of alcohols decreases with an increase in the branching of the alkyl chain. ii. Phenol does not give a protonation reaction readily.
iii. Phenyl methyl ether reacts with HI to give Phenol and Methyl iodide and not Iodobenzene and methyl alcohol.

I) As the branches of the surface increases also increases the molecule can, the force decreases that low boiling point takes place
