it is because the ant is acidic in nature and it could effect so baking soda is base so it could neutralise it to don't get effected

Answer:the sting of an ant contains formic acid. When an ant bites it injects the acidic liquid in the skin. Which may cause irritation so baking soda(NaHCO3) is rubbed as it is base
