Mass of H₂O produced is 54 grams.

GIVEN

Mass of Hydrogen = 6 grams

Mass of Oxygen = 48 grams

TO FIND

Mass of H₂O produced

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

The balanced chemical reaction is as follows;

H₂ + O₂ --------> 2H₂O

From the above reaction we can say that 1 mole of Hydrogen reacts with 2 moles of Oxygen gas to produce 2 moles of H₂O

Given mass of H₂ = 6g

Moles of H₂ = 6/2 = 3 moles

Given mass of O₂ = 48

Moles of O₂ = 48/32 = 1.5

3 Moles of H₂ will react with 1.5 moles of O₂ to produce 3 moles of H₂O

Mass of H₂O produced = 3 × 18 = 54 grams.

Hence, Mass of H₂O produced is 54 grams.

Answer:

54 grammes of H2O are created.

Explanation:

GIVEN

Hydrogen mass equals 6 grammes

Oxygen mass equals 48 grammes

TO GET

Volume of water produced

SOLUTION

The aforesaid issue is easily resolved by doing the following:

The chemical reaction is balanced and looks like this:

H₂ + O₂ ————> 2H₂O

According to the aforementioned reaction, 1 mole of hydrogen and 2 moles of oxygen gas make 2 moles of water.

H2 mass, given at 6g

H2 Mole = 6/2 = 3 Mole

O2 mass is given to be 48.

O2 moles = 48/32 = 1.5

1.5 moles of O2 and 3 moles of H2 will combine to form 3 moles of H2O.

54 grammes of H2O were created, or 3 times 18 grammes.

Therefore, 54 grammes of H2O were created.
