Acharya Hemachandra was an Indian Jain scholar, poet, mathematician and polymath who wrote on grammar, philosophy, prosody, mathematics and contemporary history. Noted as a prodigy by his contemporaries, he gained the title kalikālasarvajña, "the knower of all knowledge in his times".
