Rajendra Prasad was a very close aide to Gandhiji and he also participated in all the movements which were started by Gandhiji right from Champaran Satyagraha to non-co-operation movement and as well as in quit India movement of 1942.

Rajendra Prasad was a successful teacher as well as a lawyer; he started his career as a professor in Muzaffarpur and then changed to become a lawyer in Calcutta high court.
