India's achievements during the last decades includes a robust democracy, strong roots of secularism, nuclear power, higher education, impressive economic growth and revival of many aspects of traditional wisdom

Today India is recognized as a super power in making. She is a proud member of the International forum and no one can ignore this factor .For example GATT or Support of Britain, France, and Russia for India ’s admission to the Council as a permanent member.

India ’s gross domestic product is the 5th highest in the world. It is one of the fastest growing economies in the world as a result of liberalization of trade policies in the last decade. India had been one of the few countries, which had participated, in all the military operations the Council had undertaken thus far.

“When the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom” were not only mere optimistic words utter red by Jawaharlal, rather it was his clear vision and today we are in the process of that. India today is acknowledged as the third largest storehouse in the world for technically qualified workforce. There was a time when we were dependent on others even for feeding ourselves. And today more than 2300 high yielding hybrid varieties of food grains and cash crops have been developed which make India self sustained in terms of food production.
