There are 3 amazing contributions.
1. Population control - probably the largest and greatest genocide on planet earth. 100 million plus executed. Piles of bodies, deletion of tribes, putting in so much fear that new customs began to arise (women throwing themselves into the pyre to avoid the invaders from defiling their dead bodies, weddings at midnight under the cover of darkness so that they wouldn't attract attention etc)
2. Destruction of thousands of years worth knowledge and history. For example the Nalanda university that was global in its reach, and housed libraries with millions of ancient texts and repositories of knowledge. Bakhtiyar Khilji burnt the entire thing down. It is said that the fire lasted for months, and thats how long it took to destroy it. That singular moment, humanity took a step back.
3. Revisionist history - maybe the first known instance of doctoring history to glorify the invaders. They passed on this amazing practice thats still in use by Indian politicians.
