The Fulani troops entered the area in the early 1800s and laid waste to the villages. The Achi then left the area and trekked into the wilderness, where they lived until the early 1900s.
2. An underground railroad is a series of railroad tunnels, cut into bedrock, and linking two locations. When the railroad tunnels are complete, hundreds of slaves would have travelled through them under the direction of an overseer, and emerged at the other end. While some underground railroads are used today to transport coal, nearly all are now abandoned, and serve no purpose- they have simply been left to deteriorate.
