Answer:

CaO + CO2 ------------> CaCO3 + H2O

CO2 + H2O -------------> H2CO3

Explanation:

A is CaO (calcium oxide) , B is CO2(Carbon dioxide) , C is CaCO3(calcium carbonate) , D is H2CO3( carbonic acid , also known as bicarbonate)

when excess of B is passed through A , then it forms Ca(HCO3)2 {calcium bicarbonate}

CaCO3 + H2O + CO2 -----------> Ca(HCO3)2

remember that CaO should be in aqueous form for the reaction to occur , that means that it should not be solid CaO but Lime Water
