Q. Acid reaction with metal carbonates with their chemical equation.

Ans:-

When an acid reacts with metal carbonates or bicarbonates it forms metal salt ,water and carbon dioxide gas(CO2) is evolved.

Ex:-

4HCl + 2Na_2CO3 → 4NaCl + 2H_2O + 2CO_2

Reaction Mechanism:-

Acid :- Acid are those substance which evolve hydrogen ion or proton when dissociate in their aqueous solution.

Metal carbonates :- Metal carbonates are Formed when carbonate ion and metal cation react to form metal carbonates.

Acid + MCO3 /MHCO3→ Metal salt + H2O + CO2↑

where MCO3 and MHCO3 are metal carbonates and bicarbonates respectively.

Q. Acid reaction with metal carbonates with their chemical equation.

Ans:-

When an acid reacts with metal carbonates or bicarbonates it forms metal salt ,water and carbon dioxide gas(CO2) is evolved.

Ex:

4HCL + 2Na2CO3 ---> 4NaCl + 2CO2 + 2H20
