Acids obtained from plants and animals are called as organic acid as these are obtained from living things. These organic acids tend to partially dissociate into H+ ions. For example, acetic acid CH3COOH ——> CH3COO + H+
Whereas, hydrochloric acid will dissociate like:
HCl——-> H+ + Cl-
Hence, acids derived from plants and animals tend to be weaker
