Acircular pizza into 3 equal parts, one piece of pizza is taken out. Estimate
the degree measure of the single piece of pizza and convert the measure
into radians. What is the radian measure of the angle of the remaining part
of pizza?

The pizza is circular in shape.

Number of equal pieces = 3

Taken out piece = 1

To find,

The degree and radian measurement of the single piece of the pizza.

The radian measurement of the remaining portion of the pizza.

Solution,

The pizza is circular in shape,which means the pizza has a total of 360° angle.

Now,the three pieces are equal in shape.

So,degree of one piece = 360°/3 = 120°

Radian of one piece = 120° × π/180° = 2π/3 rad

Degree of the remaining pizza = 360°-120° = 240°

Radian of the remaining pizza = 240° × π/180° = 4π/3 rad

Hence,the degree of one piece of pizza is 120° and radian measurement of the one piece of the pizza is 2π/3 rad. And,radian measurement of the remaining pizza is 4π/3 rad.
