Its a series of metals arranged as per their reactivity....This series helps to find whether a chemical reaction takes place or not...you can find this series either from text book or from google...

You need to understand this series...and why these metals are arranged in a series ?...

In series you will find that Zinc metal is top at the copper metal...This means Zinc is more reactive than Copper...

Lets understand this clearly with the help of an example....

If Zinc react with Copper sulphate(aq)...Zinc displaces Copper and form Zinc Sulphate(aq).....as zinc is more reactive than Copper...

But if Copper react with Zinc Sulphate(aq) then No reaction takes place at all...

Hope this help..
