• Cyclone amphan was due to severe depression that occurred in the bay of Bengal a very strong cyclone of severe type approached the coastal line of Orissa West Bengal and the western part of Bangladesh. Immense amount of damage is caused due to the amphan which took place on the 20th of May 2020.the south 24 parganas district of West Bengal was most badly affected. there was moderate-to-severe rainfall. Digha which is a town in the coastline of West Bengal was severely damaged.

• Around 80,000 people lost their home completely.
• The chief minister  played a very essential rule and started a donation site to help the people.

• Non government organisation also helped many people by arranging medical camp and providing food for them.
