A consumer is an individual who uses a good or a service.
Consumer awareness is making the consumer of your goods aware of his or her rights .
This includes the commercial aspects of the goods or services,the health aspects and the security aspects.
Some of the rights of consumers are;
1.The right to safety-This entails not purchasing goods that are not up to standard .This is why the national trademarks of authorization are stamped on the products
2.Right to be informed-This entails all the details about the product like quality,quantity,potency,purity ,standard of the good.
3.Right to choose-this is where the consumer has the right to choose his or her favorite product in a competitive market.
4.Right to be heard-This is where the consumer has the right to express his or her opinion about a certain product or service and be heard by the providers.
5.Right to consumer education-This is where the consumer has the right to be educated about his or her rights as a consumer and must exercise them.
The consumer should also be aware about his or her duties,protection measures and forms of consumer exploitation
Acknowledgement for consumer awareness is generally making the consume aware of his or her rights and duties .
