➡️Walking ten miles a day for 24 days, the march spanned over 240 miles.
➡️The purpose was to the coastal village of Dandi, which was at a small town called Navsarito produce salt without paying the tax, growing numbers of Indians joined them along the way.

Dandi march, also known as the salt march was started on 12th March, 1930. It was non-violence march against British rule, who set tax on salt, which is very essential for everyone, even to poor, who cannot afford the money for salt. That's why Gandhi Ji started this March to the nearest sea shore, that was Dandi from their starting point Sabarmati Aashram. They cross 390 km (240 mi) to reach Dandi for making salt from sea water.
