Action and reaction are equal and opposite, then why they cannot cancel each other?

F1 = -(F2)
They are equal In magnitude I. e F1=F2
but because of negative sign they do not cancel
:)

You question is half wrong and half right.

Actually action and reaction comes with pairs and acts on 2 different body kept adjacent so you cant say action and reaction takes place at same body and cancel out.
