In other words the action and reaction forces occur in pair. Hence if action and reaction were to act on the same body then the resultant is zero and ultimately the body does not move

It is so because when there is an action the there will be a reaction ACTION AND REACTION TAKE PLACE IN TWO DIFFERENT BODIES

FOR EG:- if we try to push a wall with our hands we apply a force with hands it is action and the wall similarly apply an opposing force for which our hands feel pain it is reaction
