Action and reaction and these are opposite to one another and acts on two different objects always and are equal in magnitude

they both are equal in magnitude but in opposite directions .. since they act on different bodies they never cancel each other . change in velocity I.e . acceleration produced in the objects due to these forces depend upon their masses ...more mass , lesser is the acceleration
