Aim: To show the action and reaction forces acting on two different

objects.

Materials required:

Test tube, cork cap, Bunsen burner, laboratory stand, water, thread.

Procedure:

Take a test tube and put small amount of water in it.

Place a cork cap at its mouth to close it.

Now suspend the test tube horizontally with the help of two

strings.

Heat the test tube with a Bunsen burner until water vaporizes and

cork cap blows out.

Observation:

From the above activity we observe the cap moves forward (Action) and

test tube moves backwards (Reaction)

Result:

Hence we have shown action and reaction forces acting on two

different objects.

Action = - Reaction
