action and rection forced are equal and opposite but even then they do not cancle each other why?

According to me,
action= - reaction
action+reaction = some value
so, they are not cancled

well, action and reaction forces are equal but they don't cancel out each other since they are not applied on the same body
to clear it, here is an example-
a block of mass m is sitting on a table . the action force'mg' is applied on the table while reaction force 'n' is applied by the table on the block. therefore they don't cancel out each other.
