Action of heat on the following Compound:-
1) Copper Carbonate, Zinc Carbonate.
2) Washing Soda, Copper Sulphate Crystals.
3)Zinc Nitrate, Copper Nitrate, Lead Nitrate.
4) Ammonium Chloride, Iodine, Ammonium Dry Picramate.Its my chemistry project.

Explanation:

(i) Zinc carbonate form yellow powder when hot and white powder when cooled down.

(ii) Lead carbonate form yellow residue on cooling.

(iii) Copper carbonate form black residue on cooling.

Aim of the experiment : To heat the given unknown substance make observation , identify products and make deduction wherever possible the given substance may be

Aparatus and Chemicals : Test tube , test tube holder , bunsen burner , unknown substance.

Procedure : Take a clean and dry test tube . Take a small amount of the given substance in the test tube hold, The test tube with the help of a test tube holder in a slanting position over the flame of a bunsen burner heated gently and then heated strongly note the changes taking place in the substance make two observations according to the observation table given below.
