The action of Ptylin stops in the stomach due to acidic ph of stomach.
- Ptylin can only act on ph near 6.8 while the ph of stomach is 1.8 which makes it acidic in nature.
- The ptylin acts on food to make food bolus which passed further into stomach ,when the food bolus reaches stomach it have the saliva with it which contains ptylin enzyme, slowly slowly with the help of churning movement the bolus get coated with HCl released in the stomach.
