Active Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject is performing the action.

Passive Voice refers to sentence in which the subject undergoes the action. In other words, it is writing the sentence in reverse order.

Example: Maria is cleaning the room. (Active)

The room is being cleaned by Maria. (Passive)

NOTE: Sentences that convey habitual actions cannot be changed to passive mode.

What is being done by you? (Passive)

What are you doing? (Active)
